Well its my first blog post and I couldn't be more excited! There is one simple reason why I fell in love with photography and began my journey into this other world, some refer to as the blogosphere. Moments. For me photography is all about capturing the moments that occur, those special times that you just want to keep, reminisce about and treasure for a lifetime. So I thought I'd share some of those moments that will happen and have happened along my journey as a photographer. So at the start of every week look for Monday's Moment, a feature where I will be posting about the latest moments that I have captured and why they are so near and dear to my heart. I hope that you can relate and I'd love to see the moments that you have captured in your life.
Its the first week of Fall. What could be more beautiful than seeing those leaves change from dull green to vibrant reds, yellows and oranges. I just love everything about the fall season whether its trading in my t-shirt and shorts for a pair of jeans and a jacket , enjoying cool breezes and breathtakingly colorful sunset skies or watching kiddos jump into giant piles of freshly raked leaves. What do you love most about the Fall season?
This picture I captured at my parents house in October of last year. It was definitely an odd circumstance for Pennsylvania. The Fall season was in its very early stages and I was able to capture something I have never seen before. Beautiful golden-red leaves covered with snow from the early winter weather we had in the fall of 2011. Ironically enough this was the biggest snowfall we had that year, in fact from what I can remember we may not have had any other measurable snow all winter, other than this beautiful October snow. I consider myself extremely lucky and blessed to have been able to capture this magical Fall moment and would be shocked, to say the least, if I was ever able to see this happen again in my lifetime. I'd love to hear what inspires you most about the Fall season or the things you most look forward to about Fall. So in the comments below share with me what you love most about this fall season?
